Are you in search of the best Mexican restaurants in Barcelona? Speaking to my Mexican friends and from my own experience I’ve created a list below of the most authentic places:
Where to find the Best Mexican Restaurants in Barcelona
1. Oaxaca
Oaxaca is an upmarket Mexican restaurant near Barceloneta, the kind of place you take people to impress them. Part of a restaurant group that has other restaurants, but don’t let this put you off, this is one of the best Mexican restaurants in Barcelona. The food is genuinely authentic and delicious. The guacamole made fresh in front of you at the table for example. On the pricier side, but well worth it due to the luxury setting and quality of options on the menu.
2. Redrum
This Mexican restaurant and bar is located in the Poble Sec neighbourhood. It’s nicely decorated and there’s a nice ambience as well as outside seating. A nice selection of tacos, nachos and other dishes like ceviche, as well as some great cocktails.
3. Tacos 99
Another Mexican restaurant in the Poble Sec area that do possibly the best tacos in Barcelona. They have some nice dishes on the menu, but as the name suggests its all about the tacos here. Not quite 99 choices, but there’s certainly a lot. And really good value as well.
4. La cocina de Graciela
When I ask my Mexican friends or colleagues which is the best Mexican restaurant in Barcelona, they often say La Cocina de Graciela. A cosy restaurant in a residential part of the Sants neighbourhood. It’s not the decor you come for though, it’s the real home cooked, authentic food. Including, the BEST NACHOS in Barcelona.
